There is nothing like a warm, hearty breakfast on a cool morning.  Biscuits & Gravy will fill you up and keep you full all day – giving you the energy you need for your day’s adventure.

Ingredients

  • Can of packaged biscuits
  • 1 pound country sausage
  • Medium onion
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 ½ Tbsp milk

 

Directions for Biscuits & Gravy

  1. Wrap a stick that is about ¾ – 1 inch thick with at least 6 inches of tin foil at one end. Place tin foil end into your tube of packaged biscuits.
  2. Cook over fire until the biscuits are golden brown on the outside as well as cooked all the way through.
  3. Brown sausage & onion in your skillet.
  4. Stir in flour then brown slightly.
  5. Add chicken bouillon along with milk and bring to boil
  6. Reduce heat to simmer until thickened.
  7. Serve over biscuits.

Don’t forget hot coffee, orange juice, and fresh fruit to round out the meal.  I also love putting a fried egg on my biscuit before smothering with gravy!
