There is nothing like a warm, hearty breakfast on a cool morning. Biscuits & Gravy will fill you up and keep you full all day – giving you the energy you need for your day’s adventure.
Ingredients
- Can of packaged biscuits
- 1 pound country sausage
- Medium onion
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1 ½ Tbsp milk
Directions for Biscuits & Gravy
- Wrap a stick that is about ¾ – 1 inch thick with at least 6 inches of tin foil at one end. Place tin foil end into your tube of packaged biscuits.
- Cook over fire until the biscuits are golden brown on the outside as well as cooked all the way through.
- Brown sausage & onion in your skillet.
- Stir in flour then brown slightly.
- Add chicken bouillon along with milk and bring to boil
- Reduce heat to simmer until thickened.
- Serve over biscuits.
Don’t forget hot coffee, orange juice, and fresh fruit to round out the meal. I also love putting a fried egg on my biscuit before smothering with gravy!
