If you want to hike to your camping destination, you’ll need a hiking bag that can fit everything you want to bring. It’s a good idea to get a bag that is durable yet lightweight at the same time so you can get the maximum use out of it. I was due for a new hiking backpack recently so I decided to go with Osprey’s Atmos AG 65 backpack and I love it!

Details of the Osprey Atmos

The fact that the bag is lightweight is a big factor. But there are a number of reasons that I ended up choosing the Atmos AG 65. Empty it weighs 3.8 pounds and it has the capability to pack a 60 pound load. It is so light because it is made of Nylon. The design of the bag is spectacular–it uses internal compression and compression straps to secure your load. In addition, a panel of lightweight mesh extends from the top of the back panel to the hip belt.  This automatically contours to your body, giving you the perfect fit. The straps can be easily adjusted and the pack fits very easily using the adjustable harness and the fit-on-the-fly hip belt . The Osprey Atmos also has an internal reservoir sleeve which really gives this bag the extra boost for an all around great bag.

Osprey does a great job of ventilating this backpacking.  But, after a long hiking trip, I always rinse my bag using water and hang it upside down to dry. I decided to go with the large bag  since I am over 6 feet tall, but it also comes in small and medium. Osprey even offers a lifetime warranty on all of their products.
