Your sleeping bag is an essential part of your gear, it will allow you to sleep throughout the night at a comfortable temperature. It is important that you get the correct bag for the specific weather conditions you’re planning on camping in. Having a sleeping bag that is too warm is better than having one that is not warm enough. However Teton sleeping bags will fill your camping needs easier than ever.
Teton Sleeping Bags
Teton Celsius bags are available in sizes regular, extra Large, XXL, and mammoth. Certain sizes also have different temperature ratings to better accommodate your needs. The XL sleeping bags for example have the option of protection down to -7C/+20F, -18C/0F, or even -32C/-25F.
Each of these sleeping bags are made up of two layers that cover the entire bag, this increases the durability as well as holds the heat in substantially better than single layered bags. They went with a soft cotton flannel liner on the interior of these bags to add comfort and warmth to your camping experiences.
There are straps at the bottom of each bag to hang them for storing as well as stuff sacks to easily roll up your bag and pack it with you. These sleeping bags are going to add a bit of weight to your bag so if you are using it strictly for hiking you may want one of the more lightweight options out there. The regular size, good for temperatures down to -18°C/0°F weighs 5 lbs, the XL for down to -7°C/+20°F is 5.5 lbs, XL for -18°C/0°F is 6.5 lbs, XL for -32°C/-25°F is 9.5 lbs. The XXL only comes in one category which is -18°C/0°F weighing 7 lbs, the Mammoth comes in -18°C/0°F which is 15 lbs, and the -7°C/+20°F which is 16.5 lbs.
You can get any of these for around 70-140 dollars, definitely a price worth paying to be warm throughout the entire night. You can even zip two Teton bags together to make an enormous bag if you have a left zip & a right zip bag with the same specs.
Warranty
Each Teton sleeping bag includes a limited lifetime warranty in case you come across any issues with the craftsmanship or materials.
Teton has really done a great job with these bags, the only downside is their weight, if you are a backpacker these might not be your first choice but still a very solid way to go.
