One thing that will come in handy while you are camping is a dry bag.

If you plan on bringing items that are easily damaged by water (phone, car keys, wallet, etc.), a dry bag is the ideal way to keep your valuables safe while you are camping. I use my TRUE Dry Bag every time I go out, even if it’s just for the day. I always like to have my phone around in case I want to take a quick picture. Before I bought my dry bag I always had a tough time with making the correct judgment call and leaving my phone in a safe place. After replacing two phones I finally came to my senses and got a dry bag.

TRUE Dry Bag Details

I went with the TRUE 20 liter bag.  It is a great deal because it comes with a bonus 2 liter dry bag and, between the two of them, I can fit in everything that I need .  I can also fit the 2 liter bag in my backpack when I go on hikes.  This protects my things from the rain if my backpack gets soaked. The 20 liter bag is large enough to bring everything I need for rafting and it conveniently clips on to the raft so I don’t have to worry. The 20L bag is 17.8 inches tall, 8.7 inches wide, it weighs 0.7 pounds when emply.  It also includes a shoulder strap.

TRUE makes the bags out of a flexible yet durable PVC material with heated sealed seams that make them 100% waterproof. The material is also easy to clean; simply rinse it off and hang it to dry.  TRUE Dry Bags have a money-back or replacement guarantee, so there is no risk.

Tips

I’ve found that the more air you are able to get out of the bag before you roll it up the better sealed it is.  The TRUE Dry Bag is completely waterproof.  However, it is not meant to be fully submerged.
