The sounds of nature can be undoubtedly beautiful, but every once in awhile it’s nice to break it up and crank some tunes. For this, you will need a great speaker.
The UE Boom speaker is hands down my favorite choice when it comes to portable speakers. Whenever our camping kitchen is set up there is at least one UE hanging from the canopy. Whoever still has some battery left on their phone usually decides the music. Or the chef for the night. I love returning to the camp from a day on the river, hearing the music in the distance then the laughter and conversations of my group as I get closer. It’s like a home away from home and having a portable speaker can really keep a positive atmosphere alive during a long trip.
Details of the UE Boom Speaker
The UE Boom speaker is a 360 degree speaker that sounds phenomenal. The life-resistant acoustic skin has a plasma coating that makes the speaker water and stain resistant. I bought my UE Boom a little over a year ago and since I have had it I’m constantly putting it to the test. I take it to the beach, use it while I’m working around the house, as well as camping. It can handle just about anything.
I am really surprised with how long the battery lasts, I always get at least 15 hours out of it and it charges pretty quickly too. It has large buttons which are super easy to use. You do have the capability to control everything right from your phone and you can even link two UE Booms together by using the free app.
The UE boom has a limited warranty that covers the speaker if it is damaged when you purchase it.
Tips
I recommend attaching a lanyard to your speaker so you can hang it up out of harm’s way. It comes with a hook to do this.
